
In April, 2001, we (Bob and Jan) went on a watercolor painting trip to New
Orleans. We spent the first few days in northern Louisiana exploring the
lovely old plantation homes around St. Francisville. Then we spent a week
trying to paint the charm and beauty of the French Quarter in New Orleans with
our teacher, Doris Olsen, and our artist pals. (See
Jan's Art for a couple paintings.) The best part of a visit to New
Orleans, though, is probably the food. It was outstanding! Here are
